I hope that everyone here in New Jersey and the surrounding areas have recovered from teh worse storm in state's history. 

Hurricane Sandy really hit us hard.  Some members report that they received damages in excess of $40 to $50 thousand dollars.  Power outages fro almost 23 weeks, without the freezers being on sure took a toll on the taxidermy industry. 

Well again we have rebounded and are moving onto a new year.  Last year's show was a great success.  We are planning for an even bigger show than in the past.  We will have a full supply room this year and seminars running throughout the convention.  Our pool party will be a little later than in the past.  The pool will be closed to the hotel guests except for the GSTA.  The hotel is allowing us to have a private party from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday Night.

Our show dates for 2013 are July 26, 27 & 28 at the Best Western Regency House Hotel on Route 23 North in Pompton Plains, NJ.  Same hotel as last year.

The officers and teh board members are working very hard to plan for this year's convention.  If anyone has a suggestion for this year's seminars please contact us and let us know what you would like to see.  Now is the time to start planning to attend this year's convention.  Start working on those competition pieces.  The president's challenge this year will be a wild boar.  As show time gets closer, there will be a list of all the awards that will be offered.
